Kenya has considerable land area devoted to wildlife habitats, including the Maasai Mara, where more than one million wildebeest and 200,000 zebras participate in the migration.

The “Big Five” game animals of Africa, that is the lion, leopard, buffalo, rhinoceros, and elephant, can be found in Kenya and in the Maasai Mara in particular. A significant population of other wild animals, reptiles, and birds can be found in the national parks and game reserves in the country. The annual animal migration occurs between June and September, with millions of animals taking part, attracting valuable foreign tourism. Two million wildebeest migrate a distance of 2,900 km from the Serengeti in neighboring Tanzania to the Maasai Mara in Kenya, in a constant clockwise fashion, searching for food and water supplies. This Serengeti Migration of the wildebeest is listed among the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa.

Day 1

Arrival – Nairobi (Meals on Board, Dinner)

Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you’ll be met by our representative and after a short briefing, your luggage will be loaded into the vehicle and you will be transferred to the Hotel.

Meals on board. Evening at leisure.

Dinner and overnight at Ibis Styles Hotel, Nairobi.

Day 2

Nairobi – Amboseli National Park (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

After breakfast you will be driven by our professional driver guide to Amboseli National Park.

Arrival at AA Amboseli Camp to a welcome drink as you check in and the Camp porters will assist you in carrying the luggage to your tent.

Buffet lunch at the Restaurant.

After lunch you have a short rest before the afternoon game drive.

Amboseli National Park which lies at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro and adjacent to the Tsavo West National Park. This is a home to the brightly painted and proud Maasai tribe. The acacia woodlands and nearby grasslands attract an abundance of game including elephant, buffalo, lion, cheetah, spotted hyenas, among many other wild animals.

Day 3

Amboseli National Park (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Morning wake up call, hot coffee and tea will be served to you then proceed for early morning game viewing. You stand in awe looking at what nature has bestowed upon you. Morning hours are convenient time to spot variety of wild animals.

In the clean, crisp air of an Amboseli dawn, you might be lucky to see the snowcapped peaks of Mount Kilimanjaro shimmering in the southern sky.

Return to the Camp for buffet breakfast. Mid-morning at leisure.

Enjoy delicious buffet lunch in the Camp’s Restaurant.

Spend afternoon for game viewing.

Dinner and overnight at AA Amboseli Camp.

Day 4

Amboseli – Lake Elementaita (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

After breakfast, you will check out and drive through Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park.

Arrive for late lunch at Sentrim Elementaita Camp.

Afternoon at leisure for optional game drive in the Conservancy.

Dinner and overnight at Sentrim Elementaita Camp.

Day 5

Lake Elementaita – Lake Nakuru National Park – Lake Bogoria (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

After breakfast you will drive to Lake Nakuru National park for morning game drive.

Lake Nakuru is a shallow, alkaline lake, where flamingos flock to. This lake offers one of the world’s most spectacular wildlife sights – that of brilliant pink flamingos as far as the eye can see. When conditions are right, between one and two million lesser and greater flamingos feed around the shores of the shallow soda lake, together with tens of thousands of other birds. What is certain is that any visitor to Lake Nakuru is likely to encounter flocks large enough to induce absolute awe. Over four hundred species of birds have been sighted at the park and it goes without saying that this is a bird watcher’s paradise.

After game drive, drive to Mogotio and cross the Equator, and then proceed for lunch at Lomanira Splendour.

Day 6

Lake Bogoria – Maasai Mara Game Reserve (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

After breakfast you will drive to Maasai Mara Game reserve. Arrive for lunch at AA Lodge Maasai

Afternoon game drive in Maasai Mara.

Dinner and overnight at AA Lodge Maasai Mara.

Day 7

Maasai Mara Game Reserve (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Full day in Maasai Mara Game Reserve with morning and afternoon game drives.

All meals at AA Lodge Maasai Mara.

Widely considered to be Africa’s greatest wildlife reserve and the jewel in Africa’s crown, Maasai Mara is Home to a spectacular array of wildlife. The open savannah, woodlands and tree-lined rivers create an eco-system that supports huge numbers of bird and mammal species. The western border of the park is the spectacular Siria Escarpment, dotted with acacia trees, creating scenery of stunning beauty. Lions are found in abundance throughout the park, as well as Elephant, Giraffe, Zebra, and a variety of Gazelle species. Cheetahs are regularly seen and, with luck, you may also find Rhino and the elusive Leopard.

Overnight at AA Lodge Maasai Mara.
